Re: Killip
In Response To: Killip ()

Hi, Donna....

I have reason to believe the dates given for Thomas Killip are correct (1854-1941) and have no reason to dispute the place of birth, so I'm leaning heavily toward James/Sarah as the parents.

I had those names already, but really can't say where I got them. I played around with different relations for my wife as I hit walls working on my own relations, and ran onto James about that time. I can't duplicate my steps now, so can't prove or disprove it, but it seems the most logical with what little I know.

Since I have no one now who can talk about Thomas' time after coming to the US, my only choice is to go backwards. Do you have anything on James or Sarah that might put them on IOM in the early 1800's?

I find 'Killip' connected to Scotland with several sites I've gone to for name derivations and sources. As I understand it, many original Manx families originated there.
