Re: Thomas Killip - Ancestors & Descendants

Thank you all - I have posted to a number of lists over the years, but never got this kind of response so quickly. Here is what I've got so far:

I sent Ian a family group record with the hopes he can expand on what I have (which admittedly is not much). No one ever seemed to want to talk about their ancestors much or, I guess, didn't seem to care what had happened in the past.

Len, the information you sent filled in a few holes and matched what I had. I got the James/Sarah connection somewhere, but couldn't duplicate my path and, like an idiot, didn't write it down the first time until I could check its plausability.

Bruce, it looks like you did a lot of digging for me. I appreciate it, but I've found a few of the ones you had before and discounted them because I was certain at least the birthdate and location were correct. Again, I'm grateful.

Now that we have filled a few blanks, is there any chance we can go backwards, beginning with James and Sarah?

I'm also interested in where Thomas' other relations ended up on Isle of Man. I know a few other emigrated to the US or other locations, but it seems like the majority of Killips stayed. My wife would like to know more of the history and more about present day details than I can provide with my research, and we've talked about traveling that direction in the near future.

Again, thanks to all of you. I have a feeling you're all related to my wife somehow, and this is just one family member sharing information with another.
