Hello distant cousin
Sandy Callin was my great-uncle, although I know only the published things about him. I have been researching the family for a few weeks if you want to swap details.
I think his mother was Jane Lewney, daughter of John Lewney and Elizabeth Cowles or Knowles. His father was John James Callin, and you can find the family quite easily in the 1871 and 81 census. Also there was a little correspondence about his widow if you look back in the bulletin board a couple of weeks.
