Thank you - I can't believe this! I thought I had struck a brick wall...I don't have all my research with me, as I'm away working, but I will share all (which is not a great deal) as soon as I have it. I suspected the family was from Wigtown area, but have a copy of a document which says Colin & Janet were married in Donaghadee in County Down N. I. about the same time. Maybe they had two ceremonies if Janet was from there.... I haven't come across our connection yet, but found a descendant of David in the USA, a descendant of Agnes just down the road from me in Australia! There might be another by the name of Peter, now I know this information! Janet Irvin(g) is buried in Australia - I found her grave! Her sons Thomas and James and daughters Margaret-Rose & Eliza came here in 1852. Would love to e-mail direct as much of this is not Manx related - don't want to clog up the board! Thank you!!!!
