The IGI record for chirstening date of 05 Aug 1820 shows the parents of William as Thomas Quilliam & Ellinor Costain.
I also was wondering if the Qu in Quilliam was pronounced like a w; when looking on IGI records in England there are no Quilliam's, just William's.
