It looks like someone just grabbed some records for anyone named William Taggart and cobbled them together. If you look there is a marriage for a William Taggart to an Elizabeth Shimmin abt 1799 Malew. Maybe this is where the Shimmin entries came in. Whoever did it was in a hurry, that's for sure.
