I don't know any real details, but when I was looking up my Hulme relatives I found a few Cain's mentioned in an obituary dated 1908.
They interested me as I have a relative who was visiting his Cain Relatives in The Isle of Man at the time he met and married his wife in 1917. Her father was a constable in Laxey and the Cain's mentioned in the obituary also worked with him.
I found the obituary in the Manx notebook. If you look up F.L. Hulme in the Manx notebook search you've find the obituary easier than typing in Cain. (I think it was William Cubbon's obituary). There were at least 3 Cain's mentioned in this obituary. Hope this helps.
