Could somebody help me with an 1841 census lookup, please? My 4xggrandmother was Esther Killip, who died in 1846, and was buried in Braddan, according to Lawson’s Burial Index. She was 83 years old, so she would have been about 78 in 1841, but I cannot find her. Her age may be a bit inaccurate – as ages on burial records can be, but so are the ages on this census! I can’t find anybody that fits at all. She was Ether Cross before her marriage, and should have been born in 1763, but nobody in the Kirk Braddan records really fits. (Records on the IGI seem to take her date of birth from the age on the burial record - as I did until recently.)
