Perhaps somebody would be able to help me on a long-running quest re the Crellins of Cronkbreck. My grandmother was born 1899 at Ballagarrey Farm, Little Crosby. The daughter of Jane Crellin (domestic servant), the father was unknown and she was subsequently adopted and renamed Florence Kinrade. After she died in 1977 a blood relative got in touch with my mother to say she was related to a family of Crellins which I have since traced as far back as Patrick 1787 and Richard 1818. There are two realistic possibilities of who Jane could be, and one of these could be the daughter of Ceaser Crellin about whom this strand appears to be about. I would be eternally grateful if anyone could cast any more light on this one for me.
