I never quite found out why the marriage was in New York and not Peel - wasn't clear if his new bride either intended to marry him or just to be housekeeper for family - I don't think the two wives were sisters (tho marriage to a deceased wife sister was I think still illegal in Mann and the UK at that time tho not in US)
