I do not think that ages were given unless a spouse was a minor.

There are seven christenings of a children of James Cain and Eleanor Clucas in Braddan between July 21 1816 and March 14 1830.
So it looks like two different James.
A dozen or so James Cain(e)swere christened between 1770 and 1790
