Normally Christenings are fairly soon after birth, but not always. As the census was taken on April 7 1861, anyone born between April 8 1852 and April 6 1853 ( and probably both Edwards) would have been eight years old for the census.
The only Edward that I can trace in the 1861 census is the son of Thomas and Catherine.
I looked in 1861 and I failed to find Edward, William or Jane.
