yes they are the ones.. thanks..I have since found basically same info with additional info.I have him living in Vermont,then marrying Electa Martindale(she was from Rutland County ,Vermont) in NY,children born in Caistor Township ,Lincoln County,Ont.My line ,son William Edward stayed in Ont,rest of eight children went to Vassar Township,Tuscola County,or Bay Co,Michigan area.His gr.grandson Sylvester Emerson Gawne (my grandfather)m.Florence Shier who's grandfather was Col.James VroomanU.E. who had the town of Vroomanton named after him.Its amazing where all this leads!tthanks again.
