Hi all, Can some S.K.S. help me on this question from a friend in New Zealand.
I am inquiring about my Grandfather, whom I believe had an interest in the main bank, on The Isle Of Man.
This aparently was in the later part of the 1800s Henry Cadman. In various directories describes himself as 'gentleman', moved to Howstrake, Onchan. He was a founder member of the Manx Society & obviously took an interest in antiquarian matters. Manx Society vol 15 Antiquitates Manniae he has left pencilled notes based on visits.
After his death his widow is found with her son in law Robert Whiteside at 19 Woodbourne Square, Douglas.
Perhaps you may have further details? If you would care to send any details you have I would be very gratefull.
