Wonder if anyone out there can provide me with ANY information about OATES CRETNEY said to be baptised in 1647 in Marown but I can find no confirmation in Parish Records. He married Christian Fargher - date unknown and they had 7 children - their details I have been able to verify via IGI and Parish Records. Similarly I can find no trace of any information regarding the father of Oates - FINLOE CRETNEY said to have been baptised in 1602 also in Marown but again I cannot verify. He married Mary Oates - no date of marriage, but they had 3 children whose bapitisms I have been able to check. Thank you in advance for any enlightenment you may be able to provide!
