Thank you for your response, Frances. I was in fact aware that there are no blood-descendants of Bishop WILSON, but my connections are upwards ie backward not downwards & forward!
The Bishop's father Nathaniel WILSON is almost certainly a son of my 9 x great-grandmother from her second marriage - a son of her first being Richard SHERLOCK DD, Rector of Winwick 1662-1689, to whom I am also blood-related.
The point of my initial posting was that I seem to have more information as to Bishop WILSON's ancestry than has been written hitherto, and I wondered who I might perhaps discuss this with.
Is it perhaps more a matter for Cheshire rather than Manx Genealogists?
