Re: John Crebbin
In Response To: John Crebbin ()

I'm slowly making progress! I found my John Crebbin (but spelled "Cribbin"), a shipwright, son of William "Cribbin," a shoemaker, who married Martha Harrison, daughter of Thos. Harrison, January 12, 1841, in Church of St. Philip, Liverpool. Their son, Thomas C. Crebbin, was born 10 Oct 1841 in Liverpool, and a daughter named Mary. Born in London were John C. (1845), William (15 Mar 1848), James Charles (1851), George (1852), Elizabeth (1887, Anne (1857) and Samuel, my gr. grandfather (23 May 1860).

In the 1871 Census for 106 St. Leonard, Bromley, London, it said John Crebbin was born in Rushen, IOM, and other records say he was christened in Liverpool.

Now I'm trying to find records for his parents (father William and possibly Margaret).
