My grandmother was born Isabella Esther Cartridge CHRISTIAN on Sept. 16, 1881 in Toxeth Park, Eng. Her father was Joseph CHRISTIAN, born approx. 1855 on the IOM. Her mother was Isabella Casson CHRISTIAN. On every census Joseph's birth place is only listed as IOM. On his marriage cert. his father is listed as a James CHRISTIAN, occupation is Quarryman. I have found one Joseph CHRISTIAN on the IGI born Feb 4, 1855, Saint Barnabas, Douglas IOM with the father being James CHRISTIAN and mother is Esther DOUMAN. Seems to be about the right date, right fathers name and the mothers first name is one of my grandmothers middle names. My grandmother had several siblings:
