Thanks for replying Barbara. I do know that her mother was Margaret Ann Smith who married into the Karrans. There were many different spellings of Karran also. Her father was Robert Edward Karran whom my own father was named after. I too have not gone far back on the Karran side of my family yet but will let you know if there is a connection.
