Hello All:

I lived in the Isle of Man for many years, early to mid 1980s, Port Erin. I lived there off and on for about six years.I now live in Canada, and I recently met a lady whose father came from the I.O.M,whose family emigrated to Canada in the late 1920s. Apparently, he never returned,and the woman has never been to the I.O.M, and knows very little about it.Her father is dead, and understandibly she wants to find out more about her roots.The family came from Douglas,and the family name which I think is not a typical Manx name...is "Topliss"I'll try to find out more details, but if anyone knows of any one of this name it would be great to hear from them.
