Research interests: Esther GOLDSMITH born abt 1833, baptised 21 Mar 1833 Ramsey. Married on 26 Nov 1854 in Ramsey to John CORLETT born abt 1832 IOM. They are my great grandparents. Esther's parents were John GOLDSMITH born abt 1805 IOM married 31 Oct 1829 in Maughold to Catherine TEARE born abt 1804 IOM buried 1842 Bride. I am not certain about John CORLETT's parents although they may have been John CORLETT and Elizabeth [--] possibly CALLOW - still checking this. I also have a gg grandmother, Elizabeth CURPHEY born 1791 IOM - baptised 27 Dec 1791 in Braddan. She married a Joseph Baines ASHBURNER in Liverpool in 1816. If I have this correct then Elizabeth's parents are: Robert CURPHEY born abt 1760 Braddan; Jane KELLY baptised 20 Feb 1763 Braddan. Robert CURPHEY and Jane KELLY married 28 Jun 1786 Braddan. My main objective is to follow John GOLDSMITH, Catherine TEARE, John CORLETT and Elizabeth CURPHEY and families further back if possible.
