Hi! My name is Kristin Dietrich (maiden name: Griggle). I'm an American researching my family tree, and the trail leads directly to the Isle of Man. I'm in the beginning of my search and I don't know a lot yet, but I'm hoping to find some answers and perhaps make some new friends along the way.
I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA on June 14, 1969 to Bardsley Edward Griggle and Judith Ann Chapman. I married Daniel Allen Dietrich on December 4, 1994 (divorced August 2001) and my daughter Emily Rose Dietrich was born on November 14, 1996.
I graduated from Community College of Allegheny County in 1994 with a degree in Nutrition. I also graduated Summa Cum Laude from Point Park College in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Communications. I currently work for the Allegheny County Health Department as a dietitian.
It is my father's family I'm interested in learning about, because there are no family papers or records of any kind. All we have is oral tradition and myth. I've had a tough time tracing this family out of the States, but finally I've done so and I want to pursue my research as far as possible.
