I am researching:

My Great-Grandfather, Thomas Edward Clarke, was born on the IOM in c. 1875. His parents were James and Catherine Clarke. He married Mary Alice Dyson in 1899. They then lived in England and he came to America in 1902. His wife and daughters followed two months later. The story goes that he returned to England and was never heard from again. My Great-Grandmother, Mary Alice Dyson Clarke, stayed in America with their two daughters. Their oldest daughter, Edith Alice Clarke, was my Grandmother.

George Edward Dyson, although not born on the IOM, came to the Island in the 1890's and ran the Oddfellows' Arms Hotel in Douglas for a few years. He is the father of Mary Alice Dyson.

And that's what I know, so far.
