I am descended from the Lawson family of Malew. Edward lawson and his wife Isabella came to Liverpool around 1840s after inheriting a house in Upper Parliament street. liverpool from an Ann bridson, Isabellas aunt.
the family remained in Liverpool, their son Charles married at Sixteen to an Elizabeth Christie and thet had a daughter Esther Jane, now I can find no trace of Eliz or Charles but Esther appears in the Rushen census of 1880, in the care of a Callister family she then returns to live with her uncle, another Edward but following her marriage to a James Mccormick she returns frequently to IOM and has 3 children, she then reurned permanently to Liverpool after 1900.I am wondering if Charles and Eliz were in IOM but can find no trace and I would like to know the connection with the Callister family, can anyone help me please, I have beensearching for years.
