Melissa is correct. John Gelling & Isabella Oates md 24 Aug 1817 Braddan and had 2 sons before Isabella died 1820. The first son Edward b 1818 died in 1823. The second son William was born a few days before his mother died and lost his father by age 5. He was left 1 pound by his grandfather Gelling in 1833. He was a Baker and was in NYC in 1850 and then went to Wisconsin. He died at Douglas in 1885, possibly while on holiday with his wife Eliza.
