Hi, I am the great great great grandson of John McNidder (b1809, died 1884 on the isle of Man). He was living with his daughter Catherine Clague (nee McNidder) at the time of his death. Catherine died in 1903. I believe her nephew David McNidder lived with her at some stage. Extracts from the Isle of Man Times, 1892 to 1895 identify a David McNidder going to school and attending church in this period. He joined the merchant navy in 1895.
