Re: Eleanor Callow and John Caveen *PIC*
In Response To: Eleanor Callow and John Caveen ()

Hi Denise

I think that John Caveen’s parents were probably John Caveen and Mary Cringle / Corkill (the illegitimate daughter of John Cringle and Margaret Corkill).

I’ll paste my notes below:

In a message posted by Donna 27/8/2009:

“A Ralph Caveen is mentioned in the Arbory 1837 will of Thomas Caveen.--will is online in Brian's Index. Ralph is noted to be his brother.
"Fourthly I leave and bequeath to my two brothers namely John and Ralph
Caveen the sum of five shillings to each of them as legacy."

The various censuses would have Ralph being b abt 1791 in Arbory. If he is the brother of this Thomas, then the parents would be John Caveen and Elinor Quayle who md 25 Jul 1778 Arbory.”

I’ve attached part of a tree from Ancestry (compiled by a direct descendant of Margaret Caveen b 1820, sister of the John Caveen who married Ellen Callow). I have no idea whether it’s accurate or not.
