There are 22 John Christians born between 1864 and 1868 on the IOM. Two are to single mum's one Ellen 1865 and another one Elizabeth 1864, so they would be high probables.
I have obtained all John C's on 1871 and 1881 census to rule out some of the 22 Johns,
Most have a second first name , ie John James etc. Were you aware of one ?
