the children's names don't seem very Manx -Lorenzo Dow was a Methodist preacher whose camp meetings inspired the Primitive Methodists (but they were not significant on the Island until the 1830s and though many of the early Manx emigrants were Methodist they tended to be more staid Wesleyans) - the 1st generation of emigrants starting from 1826 if not already married on the Island pre emigration tended to marry within the Manx emigrant community
