The Taylors were at Crossag - part of Abbey Demesne from the 1630s and probably before - there is a marriage contract for John Taylor + Elinor Kermode
They would appear to have left by mid 19th C.
Crossag is the area around the Silverburn south of Ballasalla and gave its name to the Bridge (or vice versa?) - a John Taylor of Crossag bought a house in Ballasalla in 1747 - various deeds you can see at Manx Museum Library(open Weds thru Sat 10-5)
