Familysearch has this entry in the index:
Isle of Man Parish Registers
Event Type Christening
Event Date 06 Feb 1833
Event Place St Matthew's, Braddan, Isle of Man
Father's Name John Brew
Mother's Name Ellinor Corlett
.... but the scanned image of the page in the register has omitted the bottom two entries, so the actual wording isn’t available.
However, the imuseum site has got this:
Record type: Baptisms
Parents: John Brew (labourer), Ellinor Corlett
Baptism date: 6 February 1833
The fact that the imuseum entry has listed the child under the mother’s surname suggests that the wording in the register states “illegitimate daughter of ...”
I think that this Feb 1833 entry relates to 2 year old Ellinor being baptised with both birth parents present.
Ellinor was 9 in 1841, 19 in 1851 and 29 in 1861.
