We're pretty much finding the same things, and on the same track. See my response to Jean for more on the New Orleans Cranes. I think we're on to something.

As far as the family group is concerned, I haven't seen anything yet that does anything but make my hypothesis stronger. I really do believe that this group (Ann, Mary Ann, William and John) are the right family, and that we've got the right parentage. I just need one more document to prove it!

On a side note, I got my name through a naming pattern. My first name is my dad's middle name, and his mother's maiden name--I've been told it's a common Scots naming pattern to keep the maternal name in the family for a few generations at least.
