Thank you Frances for that information about a possible link to H E Fielding. Hubert was born in May 1890 Westvale, Greetland, Yorkshire. He had 2 brothers-Rowland and Percival both deceased. His father was Ernest Fielding and mother Annie Hartley both born in Yorkshire. Hubert came to IOM as an adult and I think to fill a teaching position. I think there are still descendants living on IOM but don't know how to contact them - any suggestions welcome!
