Re: Quine Family

Thank you for your reply to my post. I have the history of Rebekah and Robert after leaving Isle of Man around 1842. I have been unable to find exactly where she was born. I am getting more and more confused by other family history showing them both with different birth dates, different partners and different children. I am confident my family are the one's in the 1841 IOM census who were in my home town Birkenhead in 1851, William born in 1839 was my Greatgrandfather
The Jane Quine on the census I believe was Jane Quayle who married William Quine in 1813. I was going to send for their marriage certificate but I did not have enough information about where it took place other than Braddon and they were married on 16/10/1813 with one of the witnesses named as Hugh Quayle. I got that from Familysearch.org site. I hoped the link between Rebekah and William might give me some clue as to where she is from. Did the marriage certificates back then put the ages of the people. According to some people they have them as being married in Kilkeel in County Down in 1822 and Jane Quine and family attended. I have no idea how they got that information as I asked on the Co Down genealogy forum and there are no official records as they were destroyed in the fire. Any suggestions on the IOM people would be appreciated.
