Woodlands is in Alexander Rd nr corner with Quarterbridge Rd (this is the part if the TT course that runs down the side of the river from the direction of the Grandstand to Qtrbridge) - Woodlands house was built by John Brown (IoM Times + leading freemason) - brief mention + good photos in Historic Houses of IoM but no real discussion of house wch according to the (often incorrect + always poorly researched) text by Mona Douglas was built in 1899 tho there are directory entries to Brown at Woodlands that predate this - the Lodge grid ref SC371765 would appear to be at corner of Alexander Rd + Quarterbridge Rd - probably did house a gardener at that period
