Hello Kate

No burial seems to be your Emily. On Lawson's Burial list , the first ever Emily Corlett was in 1850 and all children to :

1875 Emily aged 17 Malew
1878 Emily Jane, 18 Lonan
1881/5/9 Emily Sophia 24 Patrick.

Emily Sophia is one month after census, but she is not your Emily and neither is Emily Jane , they are from other families. There is no death in the UK for any Emily Corlett in that period.

Have you checked her re-marrying ? there are some on the IOM , one was interesting in 1882 to John James Quine, until I found she was a minor, and three in the UK , but all after the Census. I could not find her anywhere on the UK census , but there are a lot , so she could be there with a wrong age.

I did find an Emily Corlett on the 1911 census in Blackburn, Lancashire, aged 56, born Ramsey.........but shown a widow.

Have you checked who Charlotte Burroughs is ? She seems to be a guardian for John James and Thomas Henry in 1881 and 1891 , as Thomas is still a scholar aged 14 in 1891. Charlotte is shown born Lezayre in 1881 and Dublin, Ireland in 1891, in 1881 Charlotte's mother seems to be Ann Wilson, but Charlotte's maiden name is Ennett/Emett

Sorry no help at all

Cheers
David Dwyer
