I suspect Peter who must have worked on this query for well over a decade has looked at most if not all obvious records - obviously many docs are held in Australia but I think the majority of official held in UK/IoM are held by UK National Archives (Kew) - the Manx Castle Rushen Gaol/Police records are probably less researched and not that readily available until recently.
