There appear to be two indent lists one handwritten and one typed. I'm wondering if the typed is a transcript of the handwritten one? The handwritten one is below and doesn't seem to mention so many boys, so many girls. It's quite confusing actually.

You also need to consider the definitions used whether they refer to minors, dependent children etc they may not be an indicator of total children born or living at that time.
