Agnes Casement update

Sometime ago ( march 2014) the forum helped me enormously to find information about Agnes Casement, the wife of Robert Casement,( the Laxey wheel.) I have since then found a link which may be relevant and which might be of interest to others researching these families.
Agnes' father was William Thompson, born supposedly, around 1795 in Scotland. ( dates do vary) He was a papermaker, and he and his wife Margaret Halliday seemed to have lived on the Isle of Man towards the end of their lives. According to census information, they moved between England , Scotland , and the Isle of Man a great deal earlier in their lives and their children were born in different locations.
At least two of their older children seem to have been born in Tongland, Kirkcudbrightshire. There is also some suggestion of a link to Fife. This is where it becomes more interesting. In Tongland churchyard there is a grave dedicated to the memory of William Thomson , late paper manufacturer of Tongland ,died 25th March 1839 and his wife Frances Niven died 3rd January 1837 . The grave was erected by their daughter Frances Thomson.
There is a marriage of a William Thomson to Frances Neiven in Colinton, mid Lothian in 1781. Their children, all born in Colinton, William 1786, Mary 1788, Janet 1790, Frances 1792.
Colinton is now a suburb of Edinburgh.( Also very close to Fife). Compare this with the inscription on the grave of the William Thompson, possible father to Agnes Casement, in Lonan churchyard ,who was described as a papermaker from Edinburgh.( died 1861 age 68).The dates do not seem to fit William Thomson's and Frances' son William.( born 1786) too well, but there still could be a link. Another interesting fact is that William Thompson and Margaret Halliday named one of their children Frances ( born around 1826)
Hope this is helpful, any comments,or further information would be appreciated.
Elizabeth.
