JC--I think your "guesswork" in 2013 was spot on. It looks like John b 1825 Bride was s/o John Kaneen and Isabella Cowin. The trees on ancestry re John Arthur Kaneen b 1859 list father as John b 1825 IOM to John Kaneen and Isabella Cowin. He married Catherine McIntyre and had 8 children.

Possibly John Kaneen the father as you said a few years ago

As you surmized, isabella Cowin Kaneen md #2 Thomas Sayle in 1845--he also was a widow

Of course this all needs to be checked out--be neat if someone has the John Kaneen will of 1841
