Re: Radcliffe/Tear
In Response To: Re: Radcliffe/Tear ()

My husband, C. T. Radcliff, is the 2x great-grandson of Thomas Radcliff from the Isle of Man. What we know is that Thomas Radcliff came to the US before 1840. We know he was born on the 9 Jun 1818 in Ballaugh. We know that his father and mothers name were Thos Radcliffe and Anne Craine, they both died in Ballaugh, IOM. We know recently, thanks to DNA, he is related to the Teare/Lace family. This last information is a shock as the family history we have is wrong if this is true, which it must be. Can you be of any help in finding the correct family connection. I have been to the family history library in salt lake city and their family information must be incorrect also, including the immigration info they have attached to our Thomas. Any help you could provide would be wonderful. Regards, Alice Radcliff
