Tnanks Frances yes he married approx 1914 or so in UK but cant find the marriage either. He has a Bier war medal in assumed name. I will check census out. Ive just hit a brick wall for years with him now. Its a shame as his daughter ( my ma-in-law passed 3 years ago now but she couldnt recall anything else
