Hi, I'm trying to trace and research my 3x GGF and 4x GGF. My 3x GGF moved to Liverpool and married in 1884, his occupation was a police constable, his birth according to 1891 census was in the Isle of Man. On his marriage certificate (1884) it states his Father as Robert Corkhill/Corkill who was deceased but occupation was a smith. I cannot find any record on the IOM census for either of them and now record of my 3XGGF pre 1891 - Liverpool. I have found records but am unsure which one it could be as none of them seem to fit. My best fit and possible is from the 1871/1861 IOM census (4xGGF?) Robert Corkill (Maughold) -occupation dealer and Eleanor Corkill (Castletown) nee Duffy (i think), they had 5 children, one of which is a (3xGGF?) Robert (abt 1860) but really i am at a loss, can anyone help me at all? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
