Private bapt = one away from congregation - usually done at home when child is thought sickly and may not survive
Remember that in Chuch of England there are two components - the actual baptism (pouring of water + saying of words) and the reception into the congregation - with a private bapt these may be separated by months - often both are recorded in register leading to much confusion by today's non CofE researchers
