Thanks for uploading the obituary. The date June 6th links to the date of the Bride baptism but with the year being different. Perhaps he left the island as a young man as the obituary says but not to go to Minnesota but to go to sea? For him to be remembered as a sailor he must have gone to sea for a number of years.
