As Thomas died 1911 aged 88 , YOB is 1823, there are about 10 TK births on the IOM that fit that bill.

Around Ararat and Ballarat there are three TK's , your Ironmonger , a Farmer and a Newsagent. I note there is a Kneale Street in Ararat.

The only things I could get from Trove was that a Thomas Lee (aged 51 of Dawson & Lee) left 614 Pound Sterling (Quite a sum of money) to your TK in 1883 , and a major fire in Ararat in 1877 was stopped at the Brick Building of TK , ironmonger.

I could not link any other Kneale to him on Trove.
