So, to sum up, Edward Clague (who was the father of Isabella Louisa (Lily) Clague b 1889) was b 1847 Arbory, the son of Richard Clague and Euphemia French. His father died in 1858 and his mother moved over to Liverpool after 1861. Assuming that Lily Clague b 1889 was the sister / half sister of Edward Clague b 1879 (husband of Mary Ellen Rome), then Edward Clague b 1847 must have been the father of Edward Clague b 1879, and the most likely birth for Edward Clague b 1879 is the illegitimate one:
