Thank you Francis for your reply. Yes I have checked the www.imuseum.im website and they do show Eliz Costian as the mother for Thomas Stan.

Nothing wrong there as if you refer to the baptism book for the Parish of Rushen, 1899, Page 4 it clearly shows the maiden name as (Costain). Therefore putting it down to a clerical error on entry as the entry immediately above shows the same details.
