The Wm Skillicorn you identify is noted as a master painter + decorator of Parliament St Ramsey in 1881 - I think he is buried 1900 in Lezayre - it may well be worth looking at Ramsey Courier on www.imuseum.im to see if an account of funeral with a mention of a son in America (in 1881 his two other sons are still with him but Walter is not) - I think Jane is buried 1910 also in Lezayre
