Hi again Cheryl, It would be interesting to know how you are related to Jonathan. As to his birthplace, it was "common knowledge" among his children that he came from the Isle of Man. One of his daughters (Martha) in the 1880 census indicated that her father was from the "Isle of Man". I have just posted a story on Ancestry about our research done back in the 80s. -Bruce
